(Photo 6 weeks and 5 days)
Well, I'm a little late in starting this blog, but hopefully I can get us caught up fairly quickly.
I thought it would be nice to record this journey not just by journal but also in this format.
As of tomorrow, we are seven weeks pregnant! It's an amazing miracle, and I honestly can't believe it has happened so quickly. We have been very blessed and continue to hope for a smooth ride in the months to come.
So far I haven't been very sick. I've felt a little queasy at times and I've been pretty hungry, but that's not really so bad. I'm very lucky to have my yoga practice to help keep me balanced and moving along. The breathing work, meditation and Yoga Nidra have all been VERY helpful. In fact, I find that if I do Yoga Nidra the night before I don't feel as tired and queasy the next day. Very powerful stuff!!
We went and saw our reproductive endocrinologist for the last time on Wednesday. I will be sad not to see them anymore, because they were lovely and I feel like we owe them the world. But we "graduated" from there and now go see the regular OB next week. We got to see the heartbeat fluttering on the screen! It was so amazing. I couldn't help but get teary eyed. Of course, Ms. J had to keep her cool. LOL. She will be the first to bawl later - just watch. :)
When I left our doctor gave me a hug and said to come back and see him in a few years! Ha ha. We shall see. Let's get through ONE first. He's so cute though. I love him. My little Indian doctor from the Mayo Clinic. Gotta love that baby-makin-man!
So much has changed so quickly. We moved into our new house two weeks ago. I don't think we expected to get pregnant this quickly - especially because we had such a low sperm count when we did the insemination. But I suppose my little Latina egg grabbed on and said, "OH, we do more with less. Come on, let's go!" Ha ha. That's what I imagine anyway. Tee hee. It's just further proof - that I have always speculated upon - that I WOULD have a whole brood of kids by now if I had been born straight. Alas...
I'll type more later about how we got here and the process. But for now, we are happy and it seems a little surreal. Hopefully my body will hold off on the queasy feelings. THAT would be lovely.
